WHEN DELANO GROWERS NEEDED INSULATION FOR THEIR PLANT, BARRIER WAS THE CLEAR CHOICE.

Tank Insulation/ Tank Corrosion Lining

DELANO GROWERS

THE CHALLENGE

This modern agricultural business offers diverse challenges: in addition to having 20 existing wine and juice tanks that needed exterior insulation and resurfacing on the exterior & interior, the firm operates its own waste water treatment plant. The treatment tanks must maintain a constant temperature of 105oF in order for aerobic bacteria to process the waste into potable water.

THE PROCESS

  • Applied 4” of polyfoam, Nitrocoat base coat, and urethane top coat to wine and juice tank exteriors
  • Sandblasted and applied 80 mils PermaDri liquid membrane to tank interiors

THE RESULT

Barrier rehabbed the interior of the wine and juice tanks and applied polyurethane foam insulation to the company’s wine, juice and its waste water tanks, ensuring that both types of tanks would be able to maintain the proper temperatures required for safe, efficient operation.
